ABOUT US

МАТА is the Macedonian translators and interpreters professional association, founded in December, 2010, by ten prominent freelance translators and interpreters, and professors.

MATA’s goals are to promote the profession of translators and interpreters; to promote communication and to disseminate knowledge about the benefits of hiring a professional translators; to formulate and maintain professional practices and ethics standards; to stimulate and support the professional development of translators; to be a medium for cooperation with related professions; to encourage professional and social relations between its members.

The association is proud to host an annual conference every year. Just like last year, the 2021 edition will be held online due to the global pandemic. This event is aimed at all translators and interpreters who are interested in professional development.
